Denver Breda

Denver is a force to be reckoned with. A force of knowledge, language, presence and passion. Beyond telling us about the Supusupu Khoisan Language Project‚ Denver conveys his personal story, experiences, perspective and impressions of being descended from the First Nation of South Africa. His impact comes from his charisma and drive - his attitude is infectious. I can only describe it as a mixture of sheer astonishment that Khoisan is not an official language and the people are not recognised in any meaningful way, absolute pride in his heritage and some serious energy to do something about it. Denver is a player in a grassroots movement, which is fast growing momentum, to empower Khoisan people, their language and their rights. It's about time.
